TAMPA, FLA. – Riding an annual wave of $573 million in new-home sales, 100 sales professionals were honored recently by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Tampa Bay Builders Association during the 2014 Awards of Excellence ceremonies in Tampa.
Awards were presented to top Tampa Bay-area new-home sales professionals and marketing executives for excellence in marketing, design and individual achievement. Leading the winners was Claudette Kelsey of West Bay Homes as SMC Builder Member of the year, and Jane Koy of Hillsborough Title as SMC Associate Member of the Year.
Candidates for SMC member of the year must have supported Sales and Marketing Council goals, demonstrated dedication to the association, council and the building industry while possessing unwavering commitment to service and excellence.
Peter Winter of Standard Pacific Homes was named the local building industry’s top new-home sales manager, while Ryan Dougherty, also of Standard Pacific Homes, was named Marketing Manager of the Year. It market the second year in a row that Dougherty received this honor.
Beverly Garrett of Standard Pacific Homes was recognized as the Tampa Bay area’s top sales representative, earning a Platinum Million Dollar Circle Award for racking up $18.9 million in new-home sales during the past year.
Million Dollar Circle Awards – representing at least $1 million in annual sales – were presented to 92 new-home sales people. Also recognized were top-producing new-home sales professionals in their respective price categories, including:

• Debbie Simard, Ryland Homes – $201,000-250,000
