Stephen Schroeder, Esq., general counsel/executive director of governmental relations at Pasco-Hernando State College, received the 2014 Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) Presidential Leadership Award at the 65th Annual AFC Convention held recently in Destin, Fla.
A member of AFC for more than 15 years, Schroeder has had a significant impact as Chair of the AFC’s Legislative Committee, helping to analyze and reshape legislative bills to minimize adverse impact on member colleges.
“Steve is well deserving of the AFC Presidential Leadership Award. He works tirelessly in his role with the college and in support of the AFC, always providing exceptional service,” says Katherine Johnson, Ed.D., president, Pasco-Hernando State College. “His legal expertise and role as active lobbyist on the College’s behalf is substantial and appreciated.”
