Ridge Manor, Fl. (December 09, 2014)- The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce’s Eastside Business Networking Group brought the magic of the holidays to more than 1,500 attendees! Families from around Ridge Manor and other parts of Hernando County gathered at the Sunrise Plaza in Ridge Manor on December 5th to celebrate the start of the holiday season.
The event was thrown not only to bring holiday cheer to the residents of Ridge Manor but to also benefit the Chamber Education Training Association (CETA). CETA is the Chamber of Commerce’s charitable foundation.
There were entertaining games, a bounce house, train rides, face painting, balloon art, a cake walk, amazing raffles and prizes. Smokey the Bear, Elsa and Elvis all made an appearance! Children and their families enjoyed crafts and holiday treats at 92 vendor booths set up throughout the shopping plaza. Special performances by The Learning Tree Day Care Center, JD Midnight and Abarie the Twirler, JC Karate and Janie’s Dance Studio entertained everyone as they waited for the arrival of none other than Santa Claus himself!
The Chamber raised over $1,700 to benefit CETA and its mission which enables its membership to give back to the community furthering economic development, education and training to individuals in Hernando County.
The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and CETA have chosen Eastside Elementary School as the recipient of a grant to help rebuild their Library.
Thank you to all the sponsors, vendors and committee members who made this event a huge success! Happy Holidays!
