MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Dec. 9, 2014) –To kick holiday pet adoptions into high gear, Manatee County Animal Services will offer dogs and cats a deeply discounted prices this weekend.
This Saturday and Sunday, dogs and cats can be adopted for $20, plus a $15 pet licence fee for Manatee residents. Dogs are normally $80; cats are normally $40. Manatee County residents must also buy a pet license for $15. Preview available animals by visiting www.mymanatee.org/pets
“We had our best adoption event ever on Nov. 29, the day-after-Black-Friday sale,” said Animal Services Volunteer Coordinator Samantha Wolfe. “We’re going to keep that good momentum moving and we’re going to do all we can to match as many families with pets as possible this weekend.”
The Animal Services shelter, 305 25th Street W., Palmetto, will be open Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On adoption, pets receive a checkup, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Each adoption also comes with 30-day risk-free pet insurance. For more information, call Animal Services at (941) 742-5933.
