On Monday, January 12th, ABC Action News/WFTS-TV will expand its popular morning newscast. The addition of ABC Action News at 4:30am and ABC Action News at 9:00am will create a morning block of local news, weather and traffic, plus national news like nothing else in the Tampa Bay area. ABC Action news is devoting more resources and journalists to cover the morning hours to help viewers prepare their families for the day ahead.
The new morning lineup will be:

This allows us to respond to them and fulfill our promise of ‘Taking Action for You.’”
The ABC Action News newscasts will be anchored by the bay area’s longest running morning news team of Dan Shaffer and Deiah Riley. Meteorologist Shay Ryan will continue to bring viewers Florida’s most accurate forecast, while Lindsay Logue delivers Tampa Bay’s most followed traffic reports.
