SARASOTA, Fla. (Dec. 4, 2014) Global Financial Private Capital, a fast-growing investment advisor firm, is moving into a 28,000-square-foot headquarters at the Gateway to Sarasota Office Park, 501 N. Cattlemen Road and planning to add 75 new jobs over the next five years.
The Sarasota-based company, currently located downtown at 2080 Ringling Boulevard, is an independently owned, SEC-Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm managing more than $3 billion in assets with about 75 employees.
“Our rapid growth has been exciting and more space is critical to continue to support that growth,” said Mike Dixon, CEO and co-founder of Global Financial. “With help from many of our partners we are outfitting a space to truly reflect the core values on which we founded and have built Global Financial.”
“Priorities for our new office include open workspaces, creative and collaborative spaces for our advisor relations and marketing teams, varied meeting and conference spaces and work-life amenities due to the proximity to the new mall” said Geoffrey Frazier, President of Global Financial.
The expansion is aided by a $225,000 economic development performance based incentive grant from the county that is contingent on the number of jobs created by Global Financial, the starting wage of those jobs and retention of the jobs. To receive the $3,000-per-job grant, the firm agreed to hire 75 full-time employees with an annual starting wage of at least $43,304 over five years. The grant was approved by the Sarasota County Commission Sept. 23, 2014.
“We are very excited to have played a role in Global Financial’s decision to remain and expand in Sarasota County,” said Charles Hines, Chair of the Sarasota County Commission. “Adding 75 new, full-time jobs in our community over the next five years will directly benefit those families as well as many others indirectly.”
The Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County helped guide Global Financial through the process as well as connected them to the workforce resources of CareerSource Suncoast and State College of Florida. “Helping high-quality companies such as Global Financial grow and thrive in Sarasota County is one of the EDC’s primary goals,” said Mark Huey, EDC president and CEO.
Global Financial’s company goal is to restore investor trust and confidence in the financial system through the creation of client relationships based on full fiduciary disclosure and transparency of action. As an independent investment advisor organization, it has the freedom to offer unbiased advice without the potential for conflicts of interest often present within larger broker dealers.
Global Financial began in Sarasota with a single desk in 1994 and has progressively grown to 75 this year doubling in 5 years per the grant. All of the jobs are at its Sarasota headquarters. The firm was listed as the 25th largest Registered Investment Advisor in the United States by REP magazine. It was named one of the eight fastest-growing RIAs in the country in 2012, and named to the Forbes Top 50 Wealth Manager list in 2013. Global Financial has been featured in more than 20 national television appearances on Fox Business, CNBC and Bloomberg; quoted in more than 50 articles; and multiple feature op-ed stories with the Wall Street Journal.
