The Nutcracker premiered in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1892, a breathtaking winter ballet with exquisite music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. You won’t want to miss the Moscow Ballet’s fanciful, beautiful interpretation of the timeless tale of a little girl and her Christmas Eve dreams.
Critics praise the Great Russian Nutcracker danced by a company of 40 world-class Russian artists, with nine lush, awe-inspiring sets and elaborately detailed costumes! Exclusive to the Moscow Ballet are 10-foot-tall silk puppets, life-sized Matrushka dolls and the “Dove of Peace,” in which two dancers balance and leverage with each other to form a soaring white bird with a 20-foot wingspan.
