Dogs, puppies, cats & kittens available for $15
MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Nov. 24, 2014) – Adoption fees are waived during Manatee County Animal Services’ “Black Saturday” pet adoption special Nov. 29.
Families can take home a dogs, puppies, cats and kittens Saturday for only a $15 registration fee for Manatee County residents. Dogs are regularly priced at $80; cats are regularly $40. View adoptable pets by visiting MCAS area of the County website.
“Our shelter is especially full right now, so we’re hoping our Black Saturday special will lead to lots of families finding their forever friends,” said Samantha Wolfe, Animal Services’ volunteer specialist.
The adoption shelter, along with most County facilities, will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving trash and recycling collections for unincorporated areas will be made Friday, Nov. 28 and Friday’s collections will be made Saturday, Nov. 29.
Fixed route, handy bus service and the Longboat Key Trolley will be suspended on Thursday, Nov. 27, and will resume on Friday, Nov. 28. The Anna Maria Island Trolley and Beach Express will continue normal routes on Thursday and Friday.
G.T. Bray Recreation Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28.
Manatee County’s passive parks, beaches and preserves will remain open throughout the holidays.
