Tampa Bay, FL (November 21, 2014) – Animal Coalition of Tampa (ACT) has joined #GivingTuesday, a national movement to celebrate giving and kick-off the holiday giving season.
The ACT Clinic provides affordable vet care for puppies and kittens including spaying, neutering and wellness services. In April of this year, an arsonist destroyed ACT’s 10,000 square foot animal clinic at 502 North Gilchrist Avenue, Tampa. They had just moved into that location the summer of 2012. In addition to destroying the entire clinic, three of their beloved cats were overcome by the smoke and lost their lives. ACT is still serving the community offering their services in a temporary location at 1719 West Lemon Street, Tampa.
ACT hopes to raise money to help rebuild their facility through #GivingTuesday. This is the third annual #GivingTuesday and will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Coinciding with the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better and smarter ways to the charities and causes they support to create a better world.
Last year more than 10,000 organizations in 46 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. ACT is hoping the public will join in this movement and give to the Animal Coalition of Tampa Bay this December 2nd.
