Susan Moseley, Founder and CEO of Moseley Investment Management, Inc.,, attended the inaugural Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED), in partnership with Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), at the United Nations Wednesday, November 19th 2014. Susan presented the Fashion Pioneer Award to Tamara Mellon, cofounder of footwear label Jimmie Choo.
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day was launched yesterday in 144 countries with WED’s global team of Ambassadors from China to Saudi Arabia. Governor Cuomo of the State of New York and New York City have proclaimed November 19 as Women’s Entrepreneurship Day
The initiative, developed in recognition of the fact that in many countries, women remain a source of untapped economic potential, saw participants from 144 countries worldwide celebrate female leaders and shed light on some of the unique challenges that they face.
WED not only represents a day that the world unites to support, celebrate and empower the women behind the innovative ideas that drive economic growth and expand human welfare, but also anticipates taking a leadership role in women’s entrepreneurship annually from 2014 and beyond.
