On Friday, Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the holiday edition of the popular Eat at Joe’s lunchtime concert series returns to Joe Chillura Courthouse Square at corner of Pierce and Kennedy in downtown Tampa. The event called Joe Ho Ho! will feature food trucks, Santa and Mrs. Claus, a charity toy drive, and festive music under the gazebo.
Joe Ho Ho! offers visitors and downtown workers holiday cheer during their midday meal. Bring lunch or buy one from a nearby restaurant or food truck while enjoying bands from the Rampello Downtown Partnership School and precious pre-K children from Hillsborough County Head Start.
Attendees are encouraged to support the U.S. Marines’ Toys for Tots drive by bringing new, unwrapped toys for needy children. The Eat at Joe’s lunchtime concert series is always free and open to the public.
Hillsborough County Commissioner Al Higginbotham created the Eat at Joe’s lunchtime concert series to increase patronage in and around the scenic downtown spot known as Joe Chillura Courthouse Square, now offering free Wi-Fi. Information about the monthly events may be found online at www.HillsboroughCounty.org/EatatJoes.
Eat at Joe’s is a partnership among the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department; the Arts Council of Hillsborough County; the City of Tampa; and the Tampa Downtown Partnership.
