WHILE LOOKING AHEAD TO THE FUTURE OF THE REGION
Event will feature former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez with the George W. Bush Administration
and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater with the State of Florida
TAMPA BAY, FLA. (November 19, 2014) – The Tampa Bay Partnership will honor the past 20 years as the region’s economic development organization while looking ahead to the future during its Annual Community Update (ACU). Scheduled for Friday, November 21 at the Hilton Carillon Park, the Partnership will celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of the last two decades and pay tribute to the leaders who have helped guide the region’s successes. The Partnership will also ask attendees to work together to help define the region’s lasting legacy as the organization embarks on 20+ more years as the economic development organization for the eight-county region.
Guests will hear from former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, George W. Bush Administration and Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, State of Florida on how the community can make its mark and begin to shape its legacy now and in the future.
In addition, the Partnership will honor each of the past 20 chairs of the organization with the Chair’s Award for Excellence in Regionalism:
