St. Petersburg, Fla. (Nov. 18, 2014) – Dancing With the Stars fan favorite Tony Dovolani will anchor Ballroom With a Twist at The Mahaffey January 28; we’re excited to announce that Anna Trebunskaya, Dmitry Chaplin and Lacey Schwimmer have joined Tony – replacing Peta, Emma and Val, who will not be available due to unforeseen circumstances.
Russian dancer Anna Trebunskaya has appeared as a Dancing With the Stars professional since Season 2. She’s been partnered with football stars Kurt Warner and Jerry Rice, Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek, actors Jack Wagner and Steve Guttenberg, mixed martial arts champion Chuck Liddell, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, Queer Eye fashionista Carson Kressley and others.
Best known for his shirtless, masculine dancing style, Russia-born Dmitry Chaplin was a Dancing With the Stars pro whose wide range of partners included singer Mýa and supermodel Petra Namcova. Dmitry is a chief choreographer for So You Think You Can Dance, and was one of that show’s top finalists. He received an Emmy nomination for his choreography.
The winner of multiple youth dancing championships, Californian Lacey Schwimmer has been in the casts of both Dancing With the Stars (where she was a pro finalist) and So You Think You Can Dance. Lacey’s partners have included Chaz Bono, Iron Chef Mark Dacascos, Lance Bass and Mike Catherwood.
It’ll be a fun, breathless evening of ballroom, rhumba, foxtrot, cha-cha, quickstep and more of your favorite dances.
