TRINITY, Fla. (Nov. 13, 2014) –Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group recently raised $1,066 benefitting the Sunshine Kids Foundation thanks to the good humor and community spirit of its owners, who participated in a dunk tank fundraising activity during the company’s annual fall celebration held at the Safety Harbor Resort & Spa. Broker/Owners Dewey Mitchell and Allen Crumbley along with Ginger McQuigg, President of Residential Sales, and CFO Alex Cramer took turns in the dunk tank.
More than 300 of the firm’s sales executives and support staff attended the afternoon event held Nov. 5, 2014. The “Fall Fun Fest” began with a presentation entitled Live with Intention delivered by keynote speaker Vince Leisey, President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ambassador Real Estate in Omaha, NE The meeting then adjourned outdoors where attendees enjoyed various planned activities—including the dunk tank—DJ music, line dance instruction, and a buffet. The dunk tank required a donation of $1 for each ball thrown in an attempt to ‘dunk’ company officials.
. “We willingly agreed to do the dunk tank because the proceeds were going to a very worthy cause,” explained Mitchell. “The Sunshine Kids is an organization that is very near and dear to all of our hearts and we are committed to helping them continue the good work they do helping kids with cancer.’
The Sunshine Kids Foundation provides a safe place for children with cancer to relax and just be “regular” kids for a while… a home away from home. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is a proud partner of the Sunshine Kids Foundation.
