TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA, Monday, November 17, 2014…The American Red Cross of Tampa Bay is offering two opportunities for you to create your own original Gingerbread House for the holidays while helping the local Red Cross chapter. Participants at either fundraiser will receive an Alessi Bakery gingerbread house, lots of icing, candy and decorations to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece to take home. Attendees are welcome to bring their own decorations.
This year’s Tampa event is set for Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the historic University of Tampa’s Fletcher Lounge at Plant Hall, 401 W. Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, FL. The day not only consists of an exhilarating Gingerbread House decorating contest, but also includes a scrumptious brunch hosted by Sodexo, holiday shopping with local vendors, and fabulous prizes! Sponsors of this 14th annual event are the University of Tampa and Bay News 9.
The second event is a spectacular competition among some of the area’s most creative philanthropists on Tuesday, December 18th from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the iconic Loews Don CeSar Beach Resort at 3400 Gulf Boulevard on St. Pete Beach. This year marks 20 years that the Red Cross has held the event at the venue. This year’s event is sponsored by Clearwater Gas, Duke Energy, and The Lightning Foundation. The day includes an incredible brunch hosted by Loews Don CeSar, celebrity judges, an exciting live auction of one-of-a-kind items, and thousands of dollars worth of fabulous prizes.
