TAMPA, Fla. — (Nov. 11, 2014) – GTE Financial has partnered again with Wheels of Success to provide a car to a local individual in need. The recipient, a nurse’s aide whose name is being withheld for security reasons, will receive the GTE-sponsored vehicle at GTE headquarters, 711 E. Henderson Ave., Tampa 33602 at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13
“As a not-for-profit ourselves, GTE is involved with Wheels of Success as part of our commitment to the community,” says Joe Brancucci, president and CEO of GTE Financial. “We believe that supporting working residents so they can stay self-sufficient, and helping a caregiver who wants to help others, makes a real difference.”
November is National Family Caregiver’s Month, and the recipient of the car is a nurse’s aide aspiring to become an LPN, who was referred to Wheels of Success by Metropolitan Ministries. After losing her car due to costly repairs she could not afford, she has found it difficult to get her five children to daycare and herself to work on time.
The car will be presented by Brian Best, GTE’s executive vice president sales and service, and Susan Jacobs, founder and CEO of Wheels of Success.
