Effective October 29th of this year, the Board of Directors of Anvil Paint & Coatings promoted Glenn R. Roth to the position of Chief Executive Officer to continue the company’s 47-year legacy of the highest quality products and innovations. Roth has worked to develop the Anvil brand for 16 years, and in that time has been present for Anvil’s most recent expansions as the company now occupies more than 55,000 square feet on five acres to produce for national paint sundries and market channels.
Roth’s executive promotion will be accompanied, as of November 10, by the introduction of new president, Kurt D. Schwahn. With over 20 years of expertise in senior sales and major consumer goods manufacturing, Schwahn is the former director of regional and national sales and development for such prestigious organizations as Stanley Black & Decker and Newell Rubbermaid. As president, Schwahn will manage Anvil’s operations for future U.S. expansion to accommodate the company’s rapidly growing customer base.
“I’m excited by the opportunity to help Anvil expand its existing product offering and to drive new growth initiatives” Schwahn said. “This is a tremendous opportunity to provide product solutions to our customers, while maintaining industry leadership in both service levels and product expertise.”
As Anvil has grown from roof coatings, to exterior and interior texturized paints and primers, to their newest concrete floor sealers and stains, Roth welcomes Schwahn to the growing business and their collaborative work ahead.
“I look forward to working with Kurt as we move into an exciting and dynamic phase of our organization,” Roth said.
“Kurt has an excellent skill set and the expertise to deliver the leadership, strategic vision and product innovation that will position our company to meet and exceed the needs of our customers, both at the contractor and retail level.”
Begun in 1967, Anvil started with one product, a specialty coating for the tile roofs so popular in South Florida in the late 20th century and 47 years later has grown to supply professional painting contractors and home owners across the country with over 75 different products, in over 400 SKUs.
Anvil paints are currently available through PPG, Glidden, The Home Depot, Amazon.com, and soon to be Lowes. Anvil has steadily expanded its expertise and professional staff to increase operational capacity and product line depth to help consumers protect and beautify their homes and spaces.
