The meeting, labeled “The Evolution of Orthopaedic Surgery: Treatment & Outcomes” focused on advanced techniques in joint replacement, sports medicine, trauma, spine, and pediatrics. Dr. Higgins is a graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in North Miami Beach. Dr. Higgins is a native of Florida who completed a spinal surgery Fellowship at the prestigious New York University/Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Higgins completed his residency at Peninsula Hospital Consortium in New York. Prior to his residency, he served as Chief Intern at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida.
