Tampa, FL – On Monday, November 10, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Alterraun Verner, will serve as Principal for a Day at Lomax Elementary Magnet School and deliver brand new reading books to the students. Verner will be joined by teammates Kevin Pamphile and Patrick Omameh who will serve as Assistant Principals. Verner, Pamphile and Omahmeh have partnered with Athletes for Charity to host the book distribution, as part of a Youth Literacy Initiative to benefit Tampa area youth.
Lomax Elementary is located at 4207 N 26th Street, Tampa.
Lomax Elementary students will receive Disney books as well as “Who was…” or “Who is…” biographies of Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, Barack Obama, Jackie Robinson, Helen Keller, Nelson Mandela, Frida Kahlo and Pablo Picasso.
The athletes and students will be available for interviews.
