TAMPA, Fla. (November 7, 2014) – David Ide, a veteran financial executive with extensive experience in analyzing risk and managing bank investment portfolios, has joined USAmeriBank as Chief Investment Officer & Economist.
Ide is responsible for the development and execution of balance sheet strategies to support the success of the bank’s investment portfolio. He will also monitor local and national economic conditions to assist the bank and its customers interpret the economic environment and identify financial opportunities and risks.

Ide brings more than 25 years of experience as a bank financial executive to his new role. Prior to joining USAmeriBank, he was Group Senior Vice President, Treasurer, at Taylor Capital Group, where he directed the treasury activities for Taylor Capital and its subsidiary, Cole Taylor Bank.

Ide received his bachelor’s degrees in economics and history from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Washington University. Ide is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the National Association for Business Economics.
