Sarasota, Fla. – Sarasota Bayfront 20:20 (www.sarasotabayfront2020.com), a coalition of 19 community organizations united in support of a vision for Sarasota Bayfront, will hold its third public forum, presented and moderated by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 5:30 p.m.
The community conversation will take place at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall Grand Lobby, 777 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota. Tom Tryon, Sarasota Herald-Tribune Opinion Editor, will be the moderator and Candace P. Damon, vice president of HR&A, will be a panelist. This free community forum will discuss the long-term effects of Bayfront redevelopment and investigate the next steps. Seating is limited for this event and an RSVP is required.

Last month, Sarasota Bayfront 20:20 hosted two initial public forums and launched on online campaign #CanYouSeeIt to engage the public in a conversation about establishing guiding principles and a roadmap for the redevelopment of this valuable asset. The campaign will utilize digital mediums including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, blogs and the campaign’s website –www.sarasotabayfront2020.com.
There are currently 19 organizations with a common goal of moving forward with developing a vision for the Sarasota Bayfront. Those organizations include: Coalition of City Neighborhoods Association, Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County, Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, Visit Sarasota County, Rosemary Association, Sarasota Garden Club, Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium, North Trail Redevelopment Partnership, Sarasota Orchestra, Van Wezel Foundation, The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County, The Players Theatre, Tahiti Park Neighborhood Association, the Sarasota Opera, the Argus Foundation, Ringling College of Art & Design, Condominiums on the Bay and Art Center Sarasota.
