In-store giving campaign to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County
BRADENTON, FL – Every year, nearly 4 million young people are served by Boys & Girls Clubs. To celebrate these extraordinary efforts, Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (NYSE: FDO) announced that it is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) with a four-week program called, “Open the Door for America’s Kids.” Now through November 30, Family Dollar customers in Bradenton and Palmetto can make a monetary contribution at checkout to be donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County (BGCMC) this holiday season.
“After learning how many children are served by Boys & Girls Clubs across the country each year, we knew we wanted to lend a hand,” said Howard Levine, Chairman and CEO of Family Dollar. “We are thrilled to be teaming up with such an incredible organization, and I know that together, we can help provide a happier holiday season to many children and families across the country.”
“The support of our community partners, including Family Dollar, assists in our ability to open the door to hope and opportunity for our youth. Together, we can make a profound difference in showing kids that we care,” said Dawn Stanhope, President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County.
