Awning Works Inc. of Clearwater, Florida, recently donated fabric to Mary’s Stitchery and Crafts of Tampa, Florida, which uses leftover awning materials to fabricate hand-sewn, hand-stitched vests for working service dogs.
Mary’s Stichery and Crafts is more than just a traditional business. She has dedicated her craft of sewing these vests as a labor of love and a way of thanking and honoring those who have served or are currently serving in the military for the United States. Many of Mary’s family members have service time in the military and this is her way of giving back.
The Florida-based company, Awning Works, has a history of being charitable in the community. Awning Works, Inc. works in conjunction with the Building Homes for Heroes project and recently donated and installed multiple awnings for the house of a severely wounded Army sergeant in nearby St. Petersburg.
Awning Works has options for clients both large and small. Their website offers a full digital showcase of their product lines. They also have a showroom in Clearwater, Florida, that houses thousands of fabric options for clients to explore.
