About the Children’s Cancer Center
While other organizations are committed to finding a cure tomorrow, the Children’s Cancer Center is committed to helping families cope today. Founded in 1974, the mission of the Children’s Cancer Center revolves around the understanding that a child’s diagnosis becomes the entire family’s diagnosis. Support is therefore offered to all members of the family throughout this difficult journey – from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. Programs fall into one of three main areas of support: emotional, educational or financial. Here, kids and families are offered hope and can learn to cope together, as a strong family unit. To learn more about the Children’s Cancer Center, its mission, or how you may become part of this important support for Tampa Bay families devastated by Cancer or Chronic Blood Disorders, please visit us at www.childrenscancercenter.org or call Danielle Lanier, Director of Programs and Family Services, at 813-367-5437 ext.6.
