Palm Harbor, FL – Confused about Amendment 2 and Medical Marijuana? Voters have two opportunities to get questions answered about this historic Amendment to Florida’s Constitution. The first meeting is on Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30 pm at The Witch’s Brew Café/Pub in Downtown Palm Harbor at 1219 Florida Avenue. This meeting concludes the educational series called “Learn About The Herb that started earlier this year in March. This Tuesday’s discussion will focus on Amendment 2.
On Tuesday, 28th, at 6:30 pm at the Palm Harbor Library on Nebraska Avenue, United for Care volunteers will present a 30-minute documentary called “Should Granda Smoke Pot?” Discussion about Amendment 2 will be presented. The meeting will be held in the Harbor Room.
United for Care Volunteers, John Chase & Dani Hall, will be answering questions. John Chase is a retired engineer and activist for drug policy reform since 1998. In 2013, he volunteered to help United For Care make a difference for patients in Florida. He is on the advisory boards of two other non-profits advocating for drug policy reform. He believes drug prohibition is the most destructive social policy since the Jim Crow laws of the Old South.
Dani Hall is a Research Biologist/Environmentalist and activist for over 14 years. She’s worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council, Greenpeace, and Food Democracy Now. She is currently the North Pinellas Chapter Leader for United for Care, the Medical Marijuana Campaign and a former medical marijuana patient.
