Spring Hill, Florida (October 7, 2014) Sir Speedy recently celebrated its recognition in the 2014 Florida Print Awards. The honors received were presented in Orlando, Florida at the Printing Association of Florida sponsored event, The Florida Print Awards Banquet. Sir Speedy held a celebration for all winning employees on September 10, 2014 to honor all of their hard work and dedication to their company and community.
All entries were blindly judged by a panel of recognized industry professionals from outside Florida. Among the many awards Sir Speedy received, they earned the most prestigious Golden Flamingo Award for the Hernando County Sheriff Stationary, in the Best of Category. Operator Ron DeGaro, who has been with Sir Speedy ten years, is responsible for the successful running of this stationary.
Sir Speedy also earned many awards in design under the categories of packaging, wide-format, miscellaneous, cards, and brochures/catalogs/ flyers. The talented designers responsible for these honors were Jeannine Kupcik, with Sir Speedy 24 years, Jennifer Natale, 13 years, Matthew Ritzenthaler, 8 years, and Kara Howe, 5 years.
The criteria for judging the design categories included 9 areas, some of which include flair, originality, visual impact, and overall art composition. Sir Speedy also received awards in technical printing excellence in the categories of stationary and business forms run by Ron DeGaro. The criteria for judging technical printing excellence also includes 9 areas, some of which are clarity, sharpness, and richness of color.
