This fun event will feature live music by Ted Stevens and the Doo Shots, the Wire Beaters, the Rose Island Band, and Treble Hook. A number of home-built boats will be on site as well as demos, art and food vendors. Enjoy fun activities for the whole family, including a butterfly release to celebrate the new, native butterfly garden at FMM.
Stop inside the museum to learn about Sea Creatures from around the world in the featured Maritime Mythologies: Creatures of the Deep exhibit. Then, don’t miss a classic “creature feature” outdoors at 6pm. Guest are invited to bring blankets, chairs or golf carts to enjoy the movie and free popcorn.
Admission to both boatyard Bash and the museum is free. The Florida Maritime Museum is located in Cortez Fishing Village at the corner of 119th Street West and Cortez Rd. Join the fun on Facebook or call 941-708-6120 for more info.
