(SARASOTA, Fla., October 9, 2014) Manasota SCORE begins a new Simple Steps for Starting Your Business workshop series with free introductory sessions, Startup Basics, on October 18 and November 1. This workshop series is designed for people who are considering starting or purchasing a business.
Startup Basics, offered twice, covers critical factors in achieving business success and the advantages and disadvantages of different business structures. It is free, but pre-registration is requested (www.manasota.score.org).
Attending the entire workshop series is recommended, although registration is open to any session. The workshops that complete this series are: Your Business Concept (November 8), Marketing Plan (November 15), Financial Projections (November 22), and Funding Sources (December 6). The fee for these workshops is $25 each.
All workshops in this series will be held on Saturday mornings, beginning at 9 a.m., at ComCenter, 9040 Town Center Parkway, Lakewood Ranch. The workshops end at 12 p.m., except for Financial Projections, which is a 4-hour session.
