SARASOTA, FL (Sept. 3, 2014) – Brothers Dan Snyder and Rob Snyder are hosting the 16th Annual Patricia Snyder Golf Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at Laurel Oak Country Club. Since it began in 1999, the tournament has raised more than $250,000 to benefit the Patricia S. Snyder Children’s Fund at Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, Inc. Mrs. Snyder was the head nurse of Sarasota Memorial’s adolescent wing. Following her death on August 14, 1997, her sons established the fund—which has paid for medical treatment and specialized equipment for ill children treated at the hospital— in her memory.
Carrier Enterprise is the tournament’s Platinum Sponsor and Badger Bob’s Services Air Conditioning and Appliance and Cool Today are Gold Sponsors. The Target Hole-in-One winner will receive a two-year lease on a 2015 Audi A3 from sponsor Sunset Automotive Group. Other Hole-in-One prizes from Sunset Automotive Group include Titleist Pro V1 Balls and a putter, a Bushnell Golf GPS and a $250 American Express Gift Card. More corporate sponsorships are available.
The scramble golf tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., followed by 18 holes of golf and lunch afterwards. Each player pays a $125 fee, which covers the green fees, a cart and lunch.
The Patricia Snyder Children’s Fund Comedy Night will be held a week prior to the tournament on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre. Featured comedian will be Ron Feingold. Tickets are $15 per person and are available by calling McCurdy’s at (941) 925-funy (3869) and referencing the Patricia Snyder Children’s Fund.
If you or your organization would like to participate in either of these events, please contact Dan Snyder at (941) 650-3216. Your support helps Sarasota Memorial take care of our most fragile patients – our children.
