At the new Sutton Park in Palmetto
Palmetto, FL – October 6, 2014 – The much anticipated Taste of Manatee is returning for the 28th year November 1-2, 2014 at a brand new location – Sutton Park in Palmetto. Festival organizers are anticipating record crowds at the annual event with the new larger venue in Palmetto. Celebrations kick off on Saturday, November 1st from 11 am to 10 pm and continue through Sunday, November 2nd from Noon to 7 pm. Two days of tasting fine cuisine from local restaurants, live entertainment from area bands, arts and crafts, children’s stage and other activities for the entire family! This year’s Taste of Manatee will feature more food, more entertainment, more parking, and more fun for the entire family.
The Taste of Manatee is family event and free to attend. The Taste features great food from over 20 local restaurants offering a taste of their finest preparations. Local culinary schools will also be participating. Live bands will be playing throughout the two days at the new Amphitheater in Sutton Park. A children’s stage will feature numerous children’s performances and shows, and the children’s amusement area is a fun time for all. Art and Crafts are always a big part of the Taste of Manatee and vendors will be offering many wonderful items for sale. Sports fans will be able to catch their favorite football games on large screen TV’s in the Tiki Tent. There is something for everyone at The Taste of Manatee.
During the Taste of Manatee, the nearby Palmetto Historical Park and Manatee County Agricultural Museum will be open and have guided tours. While touring the park, visitors can check for mail at the 1880 Post Office or write on slates in the old Schoolhouse. The Chapel, Military Museum and 1914 Carnegie Library add to visitors’ experience. Tour times are 12:30,1:30 and 2:30.
