Tampa, Sept. 30, 2014– Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Ryan M. Corbett in the firm’s Tampa office. He joins Burr & Forman’s Corporate practice group, where his practice will focus on intellectual property litigation. Ryan is among more than 20 attorneys to join the firm’s Southeastern footprint during the past several weeks.
In his practice, Ryan handles patent matters related to various technologies, including wireless communication, semiconductor devices, signal processing, design of digital and analog circuits, imaging and networking. He has experience representing clients in patent litigation before a range of forums, including the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Texas and the District of Delaware, the International Trade Commission, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as well as handling proceedings before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board.
Ryan is a recognized leader among his practice area. He currently serves as co-chair of the Section 101 Subcommittee for the Patent Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association. Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Ryan was recognized as a “Rising Star” for Intellectual Property Litigation by D.C. Super Lawyers.
Ryan earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida.
