The annual Stone Crab Celebration will feature plein-air artists, live entertainment, an incomparable live auction of select and rare vintages paired with artworks, dancing in the sand and selections from some of the finest wineries and distillers from the United States, Italy, South Africa, France, Australia, Spain, Mexico and Scotland. Local craft brewers from Winter Park and Bradenton, FL will also be on hand to share some of their top selections. Accompanied by the culinary offerings from the renowned chefs at The Resort at Longboat Key Club, this will be a “Bacchanalian Beach Ball” that will surely be the “must-have” ticket to kick-start a fabulous new season of island living.
Two exceptional Vintner Dinners on Saturday evening promise a gastronomic experience unlike any other. Pigs & Pinot on the beach will feature outstanding Pinot Noirs and fabulous Rosés paired with creatively prepared pork dishes and the masterfully orchestrated Across All Vines wine dinner will start off with a selection of Champagnes and then take you on a mouthwatering symphony of flavors and wines that criss-crosses the globe.
The event benefits the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee College of Hospitality & Technology Leadership scholarship fund. This past September The Resort at Longboat Key Club became the official “Teaching Hotel” for the University’s new ground-breaking program. With a focus on service excellence within the hospitality industry and the opportunity to support our regional economy with highly skilled graduates, this is the perfect occasion to enjoy a spectacular weekend of food and wine while supporting this exceptional program.
