The 8th annual artsHOP weekend will be celebrated on Anna Maria Island on November 7-9. Friday night festivities include an ArtWalk from 5-8 PM. In downtown Holmes Beach, locations featuring original, local art include Island Gallery West, The Artists’ Guild Gallery, Anna Maria Art League, SteamDesigns, The Islander Sidebar Gallery, Creations by L, Libby’s Jewelry, Giving Back, Restless Natives, Island Tattoo, Saltair, Sun&Surf and Island Coffee Haus. In Anna Maria, locations featuring original, local art include The Studio at Gulf & Pine, Ginny’s & Jane E’s, Shiny Fish, Emerson’s Studio, Room With a Hue, Tide & Moon, Libby’s on Pine Ave., J. Lazzara Studio South, Salon Salon on Pine, Hometown Desserts and Poppo’s. Many ArtWalk locations will offer refreshments, raffles, art demonstrations, live music and a chance to meet the artists.
Other weekend events include The Island Players of Anna Maria presentation of “Murderers” on Friday evening at 8 PM and again on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM. On Saturday and Sunday, an outdoor Arts and Crafts Festival benefitting the Anna Maria Butterfly Park will be held at Holmes Beach City Hall Field. The Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra will present a concert, “Symphony on the Sand,” on Saturday from 4:30 to 7:30 PM on the beach at Coquina Gulfside Park, 2650 Gulf Dr. South. And on Sunday, the Bradenton Beach Bridge Street Merchants will host Bridge Street Art Walk in conjunction with their regular weekly Market featuring live music from 10 AM to 3 PM.
