Burlington, MA (September 17, 2014) — Scotties Facial Tissues announces that from September 23rd through the 28th, they will be sponsoring “Name Your Price” cat and kitten adoptions at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay up to $5,000. This means that from September 23rd to September 28th prospective adoptive parents can come into the shelter, choose a cat or kitten to adopt and pay any amount they choose – even $1 and Scotties Facial Tissues will pick up the rest. Scotties is working with this and other rescue organizations across the east coast, and helping to pay adoption fees up to $15,000 nationwide in an effort to place cats into loving homes.
“At Scotties our focus is softness – so this partnership made perfect sense,” said John Robertson, Director of Marketing for Scotties Facial Tissues. “We hope that our donation will act as an incentive for caring people to come forward and open up their homes.”
This private/public partnership with animal rescue organizations is a key public service focus for Scotties on the east coast in 2014. All adoptable cats will have been spayed and neutered and are up to date on all shots and vaccinations.
Scotties hopes to rally support for this cause and to put approximately 100 – 150 cats nationally into their forever homes.
