Children’s Therapy Associates, Inc., located in Bradenton, recently expanded their practice to include Speech/Language Therapy, welcoming Heather Anacki, M.A. CCC-SLP as their new Speech Language Pathologist. Now, busy families can access quality pediatric Occupational, Physical and Speech/Language Therapy, provided by experienced clinicians, all at one convenient location!
Heather has 17 years of experience as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. Heather has many years of experience working in Early Intervention with children aged birth to 3 using a transdisciplinary, family focused approach, and is comfortable working with families in clinic as well as daycare/preschool and home environments. Because many families of children aged birth-3 are either searching for answers regarding their child’s challenges or recently have received a diagnosis, Heather believes that pairing family centered speech and language therapy sessions with “real life” therapy activities for families to integrate into their daily lives is essential. Heather’s experience treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is considerable, including toddlers through adolescents with mild to profound communication impairments. She believes that the development of pragmatic language is imperative to children’s successful social development as individuals with their peers, within their families and their communities. Heather has enjoyed many years of experience successfully treating children who have unintelligible speech due to disorders of articulation, phonology, and motor planning. Because she worked in public schools for over a decade, she has relevant knowledge and expertise treating disorders of language and literacy to improve children’s academic performance.
