The women’s organization will support Brain Tumor Alliance, Hounds 4 Heroes, PACE Center for Girls and Camp Hopetake
Tampa, Fla. (September 11, 2014) – At a kick-off event on Tuesday, Sept. 9, High Hopes in High Heels, a women’s charitable organization, announced the three charities it will support in the 2014-2015 year.
After receiving recommendations for its members and interviewing potential beneficiaries, the Board of Directors of High Hopes in High Heels has selected:
• Brain Tumor Alliance, which provides emotional and financial support for families affected by brain tumors, as well as raises awareness and research funding for brain tumors;
• Hounds 4 Heroes, based in Gulfport, Fla., provides fully trained service dogs to assist military veterans suffering with Post Traumatic Stress;
• and PACE Center for Girls Hillsborough, a community-based, non-residential prevention, diversion, and early intervention program in the state of Florida.
The board has also elected to assist Camp Hopetake next summer. Camp Hopetake is a week-long, sleep away summer camp for children ages 5-17 that have survived a burn injury.
“We are excited to work with these incredible organizations this year,” said Rachel Luis, founder and president of High Hopes in High Heels. “They all have very different missions, but they are all making an impact in the lives of individuals and families right here in our community, and that is what resonates with our members.”
High Hopes in High Heels will serve these organizations this year by supplying volunteers at events and fundraisers, raising awareness about them in the community, organizing community projects, donating needed items and raising funds through various events.
