Pay It Forward Farm (PIFF) has announced that Carolyn Haase, recent General Dynamics Information Technology retiree, has been elected to serve on its board. Ms. Haase is a Spring Hill resident who is an active volunteer at the Wellington in Seven Hills. She brings her experience in event planning, curriculum design and training to PIFF. She has also agreed to become the organization’s Volunteer Coordinator.
Since January 2010, the Pay It Forward Farm has been helping single mothers from Hernando and Pasco counties gain confidence and skills by participating in one-on-one goal setting sessions and by taking courses in computer literacy, public speaking, sewing, car repair and cooking and meal planning. Members’children get educational help through the volunteer tutoring program as well as socializing and arts and crafts.
