Southwest FL – Please join us for our annual South West Florida Joint Luncheon when seven additional Florida chapters are invited to share our luncheon program. Those chapters include Bradenton, Venice, Charlotte Harbor, Calusa, Lee Coast, South
Central Florida, and MOA of Southwest Florida. We bid them all welcome!
We regularly schedule a speaker from MOAA National at this Joint Luncheon in order to get the latest news directly from a national MOAA leader to as many chapter representatives as possible. We are delighted to welcome back Major General Joseph Lynch, USAF (Ret.) who provided a very dynamic and insightful presentation last year.
Maj Gen Lynch is a 1969 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute.
He entered active duty in the Air Force in 1972 following his graduation from law school at Emory University, serving ten years on active duty as a judge advocate followed by 22 years in the Air Force Reserve. His final Air Force assignment was Mobilization Assistant to the Judge Advocate General of the Air Force. While serving in the Air Force Reserve, General Lynch’s civilian position was Assistant General Counsel (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) for the Department of the Navy, a career Senior Executive
Service position (Level 5).
Maj Gen Lynch joined the MOAA staff as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2010. As the corporate secretary, he supports the board of directors and performs other duties associated with the operation of a large corporation. As the general counsel, he advises the board of directors, president, and staff and directs MOAA’s legal affairs.
We look forward to seeing you all at our September luncheon as we get back into the full swing of things after an interesting summer.
