CLEARWATER (September 2, 2014) – Keynote speaker, County Commissioner Janet Long, will be addressing over 375 underemployed and unemployed professionals at the Startup Quest™ Information Session on Wednesday, September 3rd. She will speak about the impact of entrepreneurship and job creation in Tampa Bay and the importance of programs like Startup Quest™ that continue to strengthen our community by creating new pathways for employment.
Information Session attendees will also have an opportunity to hear from Danny Mastronardo, a local entrepreneur who co-founded the organic skin care company, Nardo’s Naturals, with his three brothers. They turned their small, at home operation into a widely successful company in a matter of years and gained national attention from being featured on ABC’s Shark Tank and Good Morning America.
Startup Quest™, an entrepreneurship training program, connects teams of qualified participants with successful entrepreneurs and business professionals to learn the steps needed to transform an invention or cutting-edge technology into a product for the marketplace. This will be the second training session held in Pinellas County. To date, over 165 Tampa Bay professionals have graduated the Startup Quest™ program.
