SARASOTA, Fla. (August 26, 2014) Bob Carter Companies LLC (www.BobCarterCo.com) has expanded the organization’s expertise in global fundraising with the hiring of international fundraising specialist Patricia “Patty” Lonsbary, CFRE, as a managing director. Lonsbary, who brings more than three decades of experience to the company, will be assisting BCCo clients in the United States, Mexico and the Middle East.
Lonsbary previously served as global philanthropy fundraising manager, major donors, in the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Section of UNICEF Geneva, Switzerland. During her four years at UNICEF, she developed and implemented major donor fundraising initiatives on a global and cross-country basis by providing experience in cutting-edge major donor fundraising to UNICEF National Committees, Regional Support Centers and country offices. Her strategic direction enabled UNICEF to expand major donor fundraising as an international channel within their global fundraising plan.

Prior to her work at UNICEF, Lonsbary served as vice president of development and marketing for Sheffield Place, a homeless shelter for women and children in Kansas City, Missouri; as a senior consultant with Ketchum, a national fundraising firm; as development director at St. Barnabas Charitable Foundation in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; and as executive director for the American Cancer Society Westmoreland, Indiana, and Fayette Units in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Lonsbary received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, with a double major in psychology and communications, and her International Master of Business Administration degree from Point Park University. She earned designation as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) in 2002.
Lonsbary is based in the Greater Pittsburgh region in Pennsylvania. She is a member of Rotary International Greensburg Club and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), where she serves on both the International Development Committee and the Membership Committee. She also serves on the Exam Committee and the Committee on Directorship for CFRE International.
