3rd Avenue Associates, LLLP and The Riverside Real Estate and Management Company are excited to announce that the new home for Manatee County’s third Jimmy John’s location will be located on the first floor of the SunTrust Center in downtown Bradenton and is due to open by end of2014.
Owner Tom Venema is a Palmetto High School graduate and has been in the Manatee County area for over 30 years. He and his wife Kristin Venema and partner Dr. James Briles , are thrilled to bring the first successful national chain restaurant to the area with two existing stores on Manatee Avenue and Cortez Road in Bradenton. The Venema’s may be the owners of these stores that belong to a national franchise, but pride themselves in being family run and employing local residents.
“With all of the new developments in the past couple of years in the Downtown Bradenton area and the Riverwalk, I couldn’t see a better place to open Jimmy John’s third location. I feel by bringing a national chain to the Downtown Bradenton District that it is only a sign of things to come and the great economic development that is on it’s way to this area.” Tom Venema Area Manager
Tom is very community minded and is focused on supporting Manatee County schools and local non-profits one of which is Bradenton based Foundation for Dreams Dream Oak Camp that focuses on the care of special needs children. In addition to community service, Venema plans to stand out by having late evening hours to cater to the hotel and main street guests. The opening of the store will certainly serve as a trendsetter to show that many national chains are looking for ways to get into the Downtown District as it continues to develop.
