LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Just in time for school to begin in Hillsborough County, Halfacre Construction Company (www.halfacreconstruction.com) has completed more than 22,000 square feet of new building space for the Hillsborough County School District. Three projects, totaling more than $5 million, were completed in just less than two months, while students were on summer vacation.
Halfacre constructed three new Area Director Offices at 5,000 square feet each. The project scope of work consisted of the demolition of the existing Area Director Offices and the construction of the new facilities. The 15,000 square feet of office space was built June 10 through August 1.
Halfacre completed the Lopez Exceptional Student Center for Hillsborough County Public Schools. The new center is over 5,000 square feet and serves as new classroom, dining and clinic space for the Lopez Exceptional Student Center.
Additionally, Halfacre completed the district transportation offices at East Bay High School and Lois Center. The scope of work for this project included 2,500 square feet of new office space and a 132-space bus parking lot at East Bay High School.
“Our Halfacre team and subcontractors worked extremely hard on these school projects and I could not be more satisfied with the results,” said Tom Rees, Halfacre Construction Company project manager. “All of our school sites were finished on time for the start of the school year. Our goal is to provide a superior customer experience, get the job done on time and within budget, and that is exactly what we did,” said Rees.
