While in Tampa Bay, Carter will meet with business leaders and lawmakers to offer her ongoing
assistance and to bring best practices to Florida’s marijuana interests. She formerly lived and
worked in Florida for 10 years and hopes to promote a positive cannabis environment in the Sunshine
State. “My primary interest in Florida is to assist key influencers, lawmakers, healthcare
professionals, and the general public about what has worked and what has not with the recent
marijuana legislation,” she said.
While best known for her political activism, Carter is a highly sought-after, successful woman in
the cannabis business. She recently completed a national four-city speaking tour to sold out
audiences in San Francisco, Boston and Chicago as well as the Americans for Safe Access (ASA)
National Medical Cannabis convention in the District of Columbia. Carter is the managing member of
Life Gardens, a company fully-licensed to grow and process recreational use marijuana under the
Washington I502 laws. She is also part owner of two cultivation centers, two production and
processing centers, and a small chain of medical clinics that will consider cannabis in patient
