Tampa, FL, August 15, 2014 — Under the flag of its Creatives’ Alliance artists organization, Arts & Company is hosting a new kind of arts event: Creative Co-Lab. The Co-Lab is extending an open invitation to all types of artists (and those curious) under one roof for a collaborative event that will promote experimentation, play and the formulation of new ideas and relationships. The event is being produced by the Creatives’ Alliance and hosted by the HCC Ybor City Campus, the college’s premier arts campus which houses theater, music and visual arts studios and classes.
For those who wish to get in a room with other artists, the Co-Lab will provide the space, refreshments, some equipment and a chance to meet other like-minded individuals. “We really felt there was nothing quite like this–an event, open to the public, which would foster the collaborative and social engagement of artists,” says Aris, founder of Arts & Company and Creatives’ Alliance. “If we can give artists the environment, we’re sure they’ll find creative answers to problems and forge relationships that will result in greater and bigger projects.” The event will feature space which has a dance and movement area, sound production space, green screen and motion capture equipment and space, a writer’s circle and visual arts area. The group also plans to help people along with suggestions and guidance intended to nurture projects and collaborative works amongst attendees. The first Co-Lab will take place Friday, September 5, 2014
The Creatives’ Alliance, the group behind the event, is a peer-to-peer professional organization for artists. The organization boasts over 175 members on social networks and is solidifying its presence online and in communities. It is headquartered in Tampa.
