Description: Tarpon Springs mixed media artist Rocky Bridges is a master of creating art with found objects. He reclaims, salvages, recycles and celebrates the beauty of discarded objects through his series of large ‘metal paintings,’ while honoring the history of these objects, complete with their scratches, scars, dents and rust. In this exhibit, Rocky has challenged himself, and the viewers, to move these reinvented metal parts off the wall and into space as new, three-dimensional sculptures. Once again he brings new life, a heightened awareness and playful curiosity into play through this refreshing, new body of work. He continues to challenge us with new aesthetic and cultural conversations.
“With a dumpster vocabulary, he ekes out visual poetry.”
– The Washington Post
