St. Petersburg, FL. – Warehouse Arts District – On July 17, 2014, a contract for the purchase of the Ace Recycling Compound was signed by the Warehouse Arts District Association with plans to renovate 50,000 square feet into the “Warehouse Arts Enclave”. On the evening of August, 14th, the public is invited to our kick-off event, “Envision the Enclave”, located at 515 22nd St. S., St. Petersburg, FL 33712 from 7-9pm. Come participate in a guided tour of the property, but this tour is not your average pre-construction renovation tour! Guests will be guided through a story of vignettes depicting exactly how the new Enclave will come to life…Imagine along with us how the space will look in the near future! 3 Daughters Brewery will have cold beer available, The CA Café will provide sandwiches & hotdogs, we’ll have live music, plus get your portrait created by one of our Portrait Masters.
The event is free and open to the public but a donation is requested as this is a fundraising event. The Warehouse Arts District Association is raising $350,000 by November 1, 2014 in order to create and develop their vision of a cooperative, vibrant and interactive community for artists that integrates the art community with the public. Mark Aeling, president of the Warehouse Arts District Association states, “The development of the ‘Warehouse Arts Enclave’ will ensure that there is affordable studio space for artists in St. Petersburg as the city continues to develop.”
Help us further enhance the City’s mission to become an Arts Destination and support our local artists. To learn more about donating to the “Enclave”, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
