Sarasota, FL- July 29, 2014: The Association of Fundraising Professionals Southwest Florida Chapter (AFP SWFL) is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for not-for-profit executive directors, board members, and fundraising professionals to network with our area’s Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFRE) on August 12th beginning at 11:30 am at Michael’s on East, Sarasota. An extended training session is being offered from 1:00-3:00 pm to all professionals interested in joining the 5000+ CFREs worldwide in achieving the highest standard of certification in the fundraising profession.
Janet Ginn, CFRE, Senior Vice President of Development and Donor Relations at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, will be leading this special CFRE networking and training session. Mrs. Ginn has spent more than 25 years assisting nonprofit organizations with fundraising and operational management functions. She has raised philanthropic dollars in 32 countries and the 50 United States. As a nonprofit executive with a history of successfully delivering sustainable financial, operational and policy gains for various organizations, Mrs. Ginn is enthusiastic and committed to the philanthropic arena. She is dedicated to building lasting relationships and has a deep desire to work with organizations that truly make a difference in the lives of others. She is best known for her educational seminars for donors, professional fundraisers, advisors and global partnerships.
Mrs. Ginn is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow. She currently is on the board of the Southwest Florida AFP Chapter (Program Chair) and the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch, Florida. She has served on the boards of CFRE International (Vice Chair, CFRE Exam Committee Chair, CFRE Subject Matter Expert and Interim CFRE President and CEO. ), Rotary Foundation Club 99 (Strategic Chair), and as President of the Arkansas Chapter of Charitable Gift Planning—PPP.
Event Information: The luncheon will be held at Michael’s On East (1212 East Ave., Sarasota, FL 34239) from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. The extended training session will begin at 1:15 pm and end at 3 pm.
