BRADENTON, FL – On Tuesday, August 5, Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County will host a National Night Out celebration at the Palmetto Boys & Girls Club. Approximately 800 kids, teens, parents, and community representatives are expected to be on hand to celebrate this event, which is co-sponsored by the Palmetto Boys & Girls Club and Palmetto Police Department.
“This is a night for our community to stand together to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity,” said Willie Cooper, Club Director of the Palmetto Boys & Girls Club.
The evening will include food, fun activities, games and giveaways provided by several partners, such as the Palmetto Police Department, 1-800-ASK-GARY, BB&T Insurance Services, Nike and Hurley. The Suncoast Science Center’s Queen of Discovery, Jennifer Holt, will present Magnificent Magnification, a program that allows participants to delve into the microscopic world. Justin Matthews from Matthews Wildlife Rescue will provide up-close interaction with various species of wildlife. In addition, the international award-winning balloon artist, Johnathan Fudge, will impress the crowd with his balloon twisting talent.
