Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Alipour worked as Tax Counsel in the research and planning group of a U.S. based multinational headquartered in New York City. He advised on United States Federal income tax planning, primarily on corporate tax and outbound international issues involving offshore investments and transactions, and treaty-based structures. His practice areas at Johnson Pope will include partnership and corporate taxation, as well as advising on startup ventures, private equity transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Alipour has obtained four degrees a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Florida, a M.A. in Economics from the University of South Florida, a J.D. cum laude from the University of Florida and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University.
Admitted to The Florida Bar in 2008, Mr. Alipour is also a member of the Florida Bar’s Tax Section. Other distinctions and memberships include the New York Bar, the New York Bar Associations Tax Section, the Dade County Bar Association, the Clearwater Bar Association and the Journal of Technology Law and Policy, University of Florida.
