TAMPA, Fla. – July 11, 2014 – July is National Ice Cream Month, and for the seventh year in a row Blue Bell will be thanking local firefighters with cool treats.
Blue Bell Ice Cream began a tradition in Tampa Bay of visiting local fire stations to show appreciation for the firefighters’ service to our community. Because firefighters have the hottest job during the “coolest” month, July, Blue Bell visits several stations, serves them ice cream, and stocks their freezers with a variety of ice cream flavors.
Although the idea got its start here in the Bay area, it has now become a tradition in Blue Bell Ice Cream’s other markets throughout the country. As a company, Blue Bell believes in the importance of giving back, and recognizing and thanking those who help keep us out of harm’s way is just one way of doing that.
This Tuesday, July 15, Blue Bell will be at these stations:
Tampa Fire Rescue Station 1 – 1 p.m.
808 Zack Street
Tampa , FL 33602
Tampa Fire Rescue Station 3 – 1:45 p.m.
103 S. Newport Ave.
Tampa, FL 33606
Tampa Fire Rescue Station 14 – 2:30 p.m.
1325 S. Church Ave.
Tampa, FL 33629
